A story of a conservative Jewish girl who shocked her mother with the news that she had not brought home a Jewish doctor but a nice catholic boy. Thirty years later, she comes home with the news that she is Gay! This is a story of a self-conscious teenage girl, the young lady and ultimately the mother and woman that has to come to terms with her sexuality, her childhood issues, her spiritual beliefs and in turn her faith. As she writes: "Now before you run off and toss the book into a fire shouting, “oh hell, not another one of these!” a converted heathen about to shout religious prose from her horse of self-righteousness. I can assure you I am no different from any other woman or man who had to struggle with crossing life’s huge expanse into living their truth.
